The objective of lcc-win32 is to provide you with a tool sufficently small that you can understand it, play with it, modify it if you wish. The compiler is the central point in the software creation process: it implements the language used to convey your ideas into softare. And the language choosen by lcc-win32 is a simple, small language: the C language.

The C language has been an enormous success because of its small size and great expressive power. Lcc-win32 implements the full ANSI-C standard, plus some extensions to accomodate for the new 'mmx' instruction set available for the x86 architecture.
