It’s so much without violence and just a kind of fairy tail and it ends quite well. I’m not sure why the Japanese may like endings like in the “tale of the white snake”. Or 47 Ronins. And yes I’m not too fond of violance in animes. But as you know 90 % of them are exactly about that – violance. But there are really some nice romantic stories available, you have to search for find them but they are there.
